Moon Almanac is an analog watch face for Wear OS, built in Google's Watch Face Format. Fifteen painted dials of moonlit seasons and holidays in gold leaf and gems, a moon that shows the real phase of the moon, and three complications set straight on the painting.

THE LIVE MOON

- The moon on every dial waxes and wanes with the real moon, worked out from the date on your watch - no data connection and no extra battery

THE ALMANAC DIAL

Almanac (auto) changes the dial by itself with the seasons - Frost Moon in winter, Sakura Moon in spring, Island Moon in summer, Amber Moon in autumn - and around the holidays: Lantern Moon for Lunar New Year, Easter Moon for Easter, Liberty Moon for the Fourth of July, Hallow Moon for Halloween, Bounty Moon in November, Yule Moon in December and Diya Moon for Diwali. The movable holidays are worked out for every year to 2045.

THREE COMPLICATIONS

- Three standard complication slots at 10, 2 and 6 o'clock: heart rate, steps, battery, sunrise and sunset, weather, or anything an app publishes
- They start empty: touch and hold the face, tap Customize and choose what each one shows
- Icon and text only, straight on the painting, with no boxes or frames; steps, battery and other ranges get a small gauge
- A slot can also hold an app shortcut, one tap from opening
- Tap a complication to open it, or the date to open your calendar

Ten text colors, from Ivory and Gold to Dark for the brightest paintings, and a seconds hand you can hide. Every setting is included on every dial.

FIVE DIALS ARE YOURS

Frost Moon, Mirror Moon, Faerie Moon, Amber Moon and Bounty Moon are included with this watch face, with the live moon, every text color and all three complications - complete, permanent dials, not a trial.

The premium set unlocks 10 premium dials - Peacock Moon, Aurora Moon, Island Moon, Easter Moon, Sakura Moon, Yule Moon, Lantern Moon, Diya Moon, Hallow Moon and Liberty Moon - and the Almanac (auto) dial. One single payment of US$1.99 unlocks all of them at once. No subscription, nothing recurring.

A premium dial you have not unlocked shows dimmed behind a Premium dials panel when you wear it, with your complications still live on top, so you see what you would be buying.

HOW TO UNLOCK

1. Install the free Watcholate Watch Faces app on your phone, and on your watch - the phone app opens the right page on the watch for you.
2. Open Moon Almanac in the phone app and make the one-time purchase, handled by Google Play.
3. The premium dials unlock on your watch within a second or two.

The purchase is tied to your Google account: it covers every watch you sign in to and comes back after a reset or on a new watch.

ALWAYS-ON

Black, with small gold hour dots, the moon in its real phase, the date and slim gold hands. No painting and no complications, and only a small part of the screen lit.

GOOD TO KNOW

- The screenshots show examples of what you can add to the complications
- Weather needs a weather app on your watch that offers a complication
- The moon phase and the Almanac's seasons follow the Northern Hemisphere
- Works on Wear OS 5 and later (Android 14 or later), including Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch

To add it: touch and hold your watch face, swipe to the end, tap Add and choose Moon Almanac. To change it: touch and hold the face and tap Customize.
