MrWatchmaker (Timegrapher) is a professional-style acoustic timegrapher for mechanical watches. Using your phone’s microphone, it analyzes tick sounds to display beats per hour (BPH / vph), daily rate, beat error, and amplitude—with a classic paper-tape style trace and in-app guidance for reading the graph.

What you can do
• Measure with automatic BPH detection, or set BPH manually while capturing.
• Adjust lift angle for more meaningful amplitude readings.
• Apply a rate offset to align readings with the desktop MrWatchmaker app when comparing side by side.
• Choose an audio input device when available, and follow practical tips for quieter environments and stable placement.

Optional USB hardware
When you connect compatible USB hardware (for example a dedicated microphone and servo controller via USB OTG), you can use advanced workflows such as positional timing across fixed crown positions and a watch winder mode with configurable turns per day, direction, speed levels, and rotation presets.

Privacy & microphone use
Microphone access (RECORD_AUDIO) is used only to capture mechanical watch tick sounds for timing analysis. It is not used to record conversations, build voice profiles, or serve ads.

Accuracy & expectations
Environmental noise, phone model, mic placement, and case construction all affect results. This app is a measurement aid for enthusiasts and professionals in the field; it does not replace manufacturer service, regulated metrology, or legal certification equipment.
