I used to like the app for weather and traffic updates. I don't know what happened 1/1/26. It is now worthless!!! often get a message that the traffic map is unavailable and says "Code 1". When the map does come up, it's the same as another commented. It goes north to Lexington and south to Radford ... barely. It's the same very limited map even if I enter Christiansburg or if I enter Waynesboro.

This app is a bit annoying. It takes 5 seconds for the splash screen to go away and see the weather details. It's almost as bad as YouTubers with intros. Also, the pop-up notification is awful. Looks like a Microsoft Paint collage. Other than that, it's just a typical weather app. Oh, and there's nothing but awful Temu ads with half naked women. I'm only using this because AccuWeather seems to not care that their app hasn't worked in two weeks.

I'm 48 years old and have always watched WDBJ7 NEWS AND WEATHER since I was around 5yo. I watch the radar on the WDBJ7 WEATHER APP and I'm very disappointed in the accuracy. I can't tell you how many times I've looked at the live, past and future radar and it hasn't been accurate at all. It will be pouring rain at my house and the radar shows there are no storms or even clouds in my area. Other times the radar shows heavy rain and I'll never even get a drop. This is very frustrating!!!
