Weardott hardware doesn't connect with the software app, Dott hardware doesn't want to connect to my phone through Bluetooth, it's being recognized by the phone and the app but it doesn't want to connect. Also don't bother buying the hardware, the one on the website won't be the one you receive. The one I got has bigger bezels, the screen stretches easily and it's cheap plastic for its price. don't waste your money because it's won't connect to this app for gif and jpeg to display 🤦🏽‍♂️.

Update 3, Feb 2026: App claims there are updates with fixes, but app still can't connect to the Dott. Phone's Bluetooth won't show it is connected, but app shows it sees it... but it fails to send to the Dott. (Pixel 9, Android 16) Scam. The KickStarter was a scam, the company is a scam, the product is a scam. Maybe it wasn't meant to be, but obviously with no communication, no support, no working app, and a non-working locked-out device, that's all it's become.

Terrible device. Bad company. Poor app. The long and short of this is that the DOTT doesn't work. The only controls in the app are ones that let you upload an image (you get an error) and a control to check the connection to the device (it says it's fine) Couple this with the awful decision to withhold the software for nearly a year after release of the hardware and you've got a poop sandwich. The device itself feels cheap and flimsy. Don't buy a DOTT. There are way better devices out there.
