About this app

Web Highlights lets you highlight websites and PDFs on your phone, keep notes and tags on what you marked, and turn it into flashcards — one searchable library for everything you read.

SHARE IT IN, HIGHLIGHT IT
Found something worth keeping — in Chrome, a newsletter, Reddit, wherever? Tap Share and pick Web Highlights. The page opens inside the app in its own browser, where you can sign in to sites that ask for a login. One tap on "Save Page" keeps a copy in your library and opens it in the reader. Select a sentence first, and the same tap saves the page with your first highlight already on it.

Text works as well: select it in any app, send it to Web Highlights, and keep it as a new page or as a highlight on a page you already saved.

A HIGHLIGHTER FOR WEBSITES AND PDFS
In the reader, select text and pick a colour — that is the whole highlighter. Highlights stay on the page when you come back. Add a note to any highlight, tag it, or write a note about the whole page without selecting anything. The notebook lists everything you marked on a page in reading order; tap a card to change its colour, tag it, copy it, or turn it into a flashcard.

READ LATER, IN YOUR OWN READER
Every page you save is kept as a clean article copy: your own font size, spacing and colour mode, dark mode included — and it stays readable even if the original page changes. The app remembers how far you got, and "Continue reading" on the home screen shows your progress and reopens the page.

PDF HIGHLIGHTER
Share a link that ends in .pdf and it opens in the built-in viewer; share a PDF file and one tap uploads it. Highlight it, annotate it, tag it. Uploaded PDFs sit in your library like any other page and open in the same viewer.

NOTES, TAGS, COLLECTIONS, SEARCH
Collections are folders for your saved pages; tags cut across them; the search on the home screen finds pages and highlights alike. Use it as a web clipper for things you want to keep, or as a read-later list for things you have not read yet — it is the same library either way.

FLASHCARDS AND SPACED REPETITION
Any highlight can become a flashcard: question on the front, your answer behind it. The app schedules reviews with spaced repetition and keeps a streak on the home screen, so what you highlighted comes back until you actually remember it.

WORKS WITH THE WEB HIGHLIGHTS BROWSER EXTENSION
The app is the phone side of Web Highlights. Highlights you make with the browser extension (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) or in the web app show up in the app, and the other way round. Cloud sync is free for 7 days and part of the Premium and Ultimate plans after that; without it, what you save stays on the device you saved it on. The app itself is free to use.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Your highlights, notes and saved pages are yours. Nothing is public unless you create a share link for a page, and you can take that link back any time. We do not sell your data or use it to build profiles, and the app shows no ads. Sign in with Google or with e-mail and password.
