WakeLink is a fast, ad-free Wake-on-LAN (WOL) remote. It sends a magic packet to any computer on your home or office network and powers it on in seconds. Once the PC is awake you can also put it to sleep, lock it, restart it or shut it down, all from the same screen. Works with Windows, Linux, macOS, Raspberry Pi, home servers and NAS boxes.

WAKE YOUR PC FROM ANYWHERE

A Wake-on-LAN magic packet only travels inside a local network, so remote wake needs one more piece. Leave WakeLink on a device at home and connect with a private VPN such as Tailscale, ZeroTier or WireGuard. You can then power on your PC from the office, a hotel or another country, and nothing is ever exposed to the open internet. The in-app setup guide walks you through it.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No account required. Signing in is optional and only adds cloud backup. Your SSH passwords and keys are encrypted on your phone and never uploaded, not even to your own backup. Anonymous usage statistics are only shared if you say yes, and you can turn them off at any time.


SETUP HELP INCLUDED

Wake-on-LAN depends on your PC's BIOS and network adapter, and every machine is a little different. The app includes a step-by-step guide for Windows, Linux and macOS with the exact settings to change and the commands to run, plus a built-in diagnostics page that shows why a wake did not work.

BEFORE YOU START: WHAT WAKE-ON-LAN NEEDS

• The PC should be connected by Ethernet. Waking over Wi-Fi is unreliable on most hardware.
• Wake-on-LAN must be enabled in the BIOS / UEFI and in the network adapter settings. The guide shows you how.
• Laptops should stay on mains power. On battery most laptops cut power to the network card.
• The phone running WakeLink must be on the same network as the PC, or reach it through a VPN.

These are requirements of Wake-on-LAN itself, not of this app.
