They open it from a single link without installing anything, and reserve what they're buying, so nothing gets bought twice and the surprise survives. Putting a gift on the list is just as easy: send a product page from your favorite shopping site to the app and it arrives complete, with photo, price, and description filled in for you.

2. Send your list with a single link. Family and friends open it without installing anything.
3. They reserve what they're buying. You see a gift is taken, never who took it. Surprise mode can even hide the reservation from you.
