Ratings and reviews

I like the UI and UX of the latest version. The designers did pretty well. And that's the only reason I'm giving it a 3 star. However, it's very frustrating when one wants to transfer/backup chats. Whenever something happens to my phone or I'm getting a new phone, 9 out of 10 times, I don't get all my chats restored plus the process in restoring chats is so frustrating. I'm an active user of X and it doesn't matter what phone I'm using to log in, my chats and account gets instantly restored.

I Loved the additional features of the GB WhatsApp. Being able to choose themes & such, maybe you can upgrade this version with some of those features? Also, I just picked up on a bug with the current upgrade, whenever I go to view my own status the 'total viewers' at the bottom does not show. So I have to exit the status to go back in, in order for me to check that information. Not sure whats up with that but hopefully it's fixable as it gets annoying.

Hey WhatsApp team, I love using WhatsApp for my daily conversations! It's a great app, and I appreciate the constant updates and improvements. However, I have a feature request that I think would take WhatsApp to the next level: media sending with codes! Imagine being able to send images or videos with a unique code attached to them. Without the code, the recipient would only see an empty message. This would add an extra layer of security and privacy to our conversations.

What's new

• You can now edit messages up to 15 minutes after sending. Long press a message and choose ‘Edit’ to get started.
• Group chats show the profile photos of their participants.
