GPS Speed Tachometer is your precise GPS speedometer and trip tracker: see live speed, average & top speed, distance and duration — plus a route overlay on the map. Keep a ride log and export clean PDFs.

How it works
The app uses your device’s GPS to measure movement. Live speed comes from position changes over time. Average speed is computed as total distance ÷ total time, and top speed is the highest reading of the session.
Logs & Export
• Every trip is saved to the logbook for later review.
• PDF export creates a neat document with map, distance, duration, average and top speed (a full-screen ad may be shown before export).
Privacy & Consent
• No account required.
• Location data is used locally for display and logging only.
• Ads via Google AdMob keep the app free. On first launch we ask for consent (UMP); you can revisit privacy options anytime in Settings.
Permissions
• Location (GPS): to compute speed, distance and show your position on the map.
• Notifications (Android 13+): ensures ongoing tracking runs reliably in the background (foreground service).
• Internet: for map tiles and ads.
Notes
• GPS accuracy varies with environment (tunnels, urban canyons, weather).
• Do not interact with the app while driving — safety first.
• Not intended for official measurements or calibration.
