Radio Hatteras, your all-volunteer community radio connection, is a non-profit, non-commercial station broadcasting on WHDX-FM 99.9, Waves, NC and WHDZ-FM, Buxton, NC on Hatteras Island. We play an eclectic music mix spanning decades and genres. We also air special music shows (locally produced and hosted) plus island-specific programming, which enhances the safety and quality of life of Hatteras Island residents, visitors, and property owners. Radio Hatteras and its facilities are locally owned, governed, operated, and supported for the benefit of the audience served. Radio Hatteras is a non-commercial, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.

Ratings and reviews

I LOVE the radio station, but the app leaves something to be desired. On Android 10 the app will stop playing or the left and right seem to go out of sync (not sure how this happens with a digital stream). I have donated to the station, and would be willing to pay a little for the app if it helps to keep it running smoothly. If you ever need a beta tester for updates, feel free to hit me up! A station that centers me but an app that aggrevates me. I fell in love with the station while in Hatteras and would love to listen often but the songs go out of sync when played in the player. It appears to happen slowly over the course of 10 or 15 minutes and then the left and right channels are literally playing a second apart. Please give a monologue option that would fix this.

Love this station, hate the app. App keeps crashing, music stops every five minutes, and sometimes I'll end up having the same song playing on top of itself in some weird stutter-step. Are there any other alternatives to this app for listening to radio Hatteras on mobile?
