"Magotomo" is an app where energetic young people (students) visit elderly people and act as "substitute grandchildren" to talk to them, accompany them to hospitals, help with housework, operate their smartphones, etc. You can keep an eye on elderly parents who live alone or seniors who need care.
"My grandparents haven't been feeling well lately..." - for those of you who have such concerns.
Through interactions with young people, we can bring smiles and energy to seniors and help them live each day with a positive attitude.
● At times like these
I'm worried about my elderly parents going to the hospital alone
I want someone to talk to while watching over my mother
I want someone to help me with daily housework and short outings
I want to give them stimulation that will help prevent dementia and train their brains
● Reasons for peace of mind
Young people submit their ID and have taken training supervised by experts
After the activity, a report with photos is sent to the family
Downloading the app is completely free
We have received happy feedback from actual families, such as
"My elderly father has started to say 'I want to do this' on his own" and "Seniors have become more mentally energetic".
[For students and young people]
