About this app

Whyvo is a private messenger for the people you actually talk to.

Every one-to-one chat, group chat and call is end-to-end encrypted, so nobody else can read or hear them. Not your network. Not us.

PRIVATE MESSAGING
- End-to-end encrypted one-to-one and group chats
- Photos, videos, voice messages, documents and locations
- Reply, forward, edit, star and react to any message
- Disappearing messages that clear themselves on a timer
- Read receipts you can switch off

CALLS THAT FEEL NATIVE
- Encrypted voice and video calls, one-to-one and in groups
- Incoming calls ring with a full-screen alert
- Voicemail when you cannot pick up
- Schedule a call and share it with the group

LOCK ANY CHAT
Hide a sensitive conversation from your chat list and reopen it with your fingerprint, face unlock or your passcode. It stays locked even if your phone is unlocked.

SIGN IN WITHOUT A PASSWORD
Create a passkey and sign in with your fingerprint or face unlock instead of typing anything.

GROUPS, CIRCLES AND CHANNELS
- Groups with admins, invite links and member controls
- Circles for a community with separate general and bulletin threads
- Channels for broadcasting to people who follow you

STATUS
Share a photo, video, voice note or text that disappears after 24 hours. Edit it first with crop, stickers, drawing and text.

MAKE IT YOURS
Chat wallpapers, a full dark mode, custom notification sounds and alternate app icons.

YOUR DEVICES, YOUR HISTORY
Sign in on another device and your history follows you automatically, still encrypted, without uploading your messages anywhere readable.

WHAT IS NOT ENCRYPTED
We would rather say so plainly: public channels and public status posts are not end-to-end encrypted, because they are meant to be publicly readable. Everything private is.

WHYVO PREMIUM
An optional subscription that unlocks the appearance pack: extra chat themes and tints, premium wallpapers, and an additional set of ringtones and notification sounds. Everything above stays free.
