Features include:

· Customer Account- create an account or sync with current account in Ohio’s Wildlife License System

· Purchases- convenient access to purchase hunting and fishing licenses, permits, stamps, and the Wild Ohio magazine.

· Display licenses and permits- display current and past licenses and permits on the phone

· Game check- submit game check from the phone even without a connection, and obtain confirmation code once the phone reestablishes service

· Maps- interactive maps with directions and information on Ohio’s public lands, boat ramps, lakes, shooting ranges, and license agents

· Resources- contact information, including directions and phone numbers, the latest hunting and fishing digests, and other popular resources for outdoor enthusiasts

· Weather- display current weather conditions and sunrise/sunset tables before heading out on the water or in the field.

The application requires internet access through Wi-Fi or cellular wireless connection to access some of the features.

Ratings and reviews

This app is very helpful! You can easily see the public hunting areas in the state as well as your current location in relation to public access boundaries (barring any internet connection issues). I would've given 5 stars but, when using the maps of the hunting and fishing areas, they don't include the restrictions found on maps from the ODNR website (ex: LaDue Area). A hunter could easily be in a restricted area and not know it if they are only relying on the app. That is a serious issue.

App worked for the last few years but 3 times this year we were unable to submit game checks. My son had a "no internet" message and didn't show license. Internet was working and submitted online standing in the same place. 2 times I attempted to submit game checks but it wouldn't allow me to set time of harvest. Displayed 2 digits instead of 3, those were limited to a 0,1 or 3. Found an update available after 1st time and installed it. App was up to date 2nd time. App didn't show the update.

The new app does not work. My current licenses are unavailable, I can't see my prior game checks, I can't buy licenses or tags. The new sign in was a long long process, not looking forward to buying licenses and permits for my children.
