This device works great for the FM transmitter portion but the wave cast function is garbage. rarely works and when it does it starts out good then the delay gets worse and worse and the app glitches and doesn't stay connected with the wifi. When you can reconnect the delay is so bad its useless. Extremely disappointed in the device especially considering the amount of money that was spent on this because of the wave cast function.

This program never worked for me. It requires access to the Internet to connect to an isolated router even though the iOS version does not. It also needs location access for unknown reasons that don't make sense for the task at hand. I wish Williams would have fixed these issues a long time ago, but I'm done waiting.

Testing to see if this would be feasible to make lectures more accessible. I like the peer to peer principal be as this should lower latency. However the app can't find the wavecast 5d, either this android or the iPhone version. I have followed willamsav network guide and opened ports 3000-3303 in both directions between guest WiFi and the wavecast. Then opened all IP protocols still does not show even after a reboot. Can't see where the app goes to discover the server. Server as full internet.
