Developed by Windigo First Nations Council, the Windigo Language App is an Indigenous-led digital learning tool that supports the revitalization and reclamation of Anishinaabemowin and Anishininiimowin. Created for learners of all ages, this mobile app empowers users to engage with their languages through immersive, community-rooted, and culturally informed methods.

Designed by Anishinaabe and Anishininiiw language teachers, and voiced by Elders and fluent speakers from Windigo First Nations Council communities, the app blends Indigenous pedagogical frameworks on a mobile platform. At its core, the Windigo Language App is more than a learning app — it is a bridge back to community, culture, and identity.
