DYNAMIC DIFFICULTY
The difficulty in Void Knot is based on three variables that increase with every level:
1. Grid Size
The board expands every 4 levels to give you more space and a bigger challenge.
• Levels 1 to 3: 3x3 grid (9 available spaces).
• Levels 4 to 7: 4x4 grid (16 spaces).
• Levels 8 to 11: 5x5 grid (25 spaces).
• Level 12 and up: The grid reaches its maximum size of 6x6 (36 spaces).
2. Number of Nodes
With each new level, the game adds one new node to the board and connects it to the rest of the web.
• Level 1: You start with 5 nodes.
• Level 2: 6 nodes.
• Level 10: 14 nodes.
• Maximum limit: The game stops adding nodes once it reaches 18 (starting at Level 14). Having 18 nodes on a 6x6 grid is pure chaos that requires perfect planning!
3. Scramble Factor
When generating a board, the game engine first creates a solved (clean) layout, and then "reverses" it by performing a specific number of random moves and swaps.
With each subsequent level, the computer performs 3 additional scrambling moves. In the early stages, a few moves are enough to untangle the web, but at higher levels, you start with a true "Gordian knot" where lines cross multiple times.
THE INFINITY PHASE (Level 14 & Up)
When you reach the stage where the grid is 6x6 and there are 18 nodes (meaning half the board is occupied), the engine switches into an endless mode.
From this point on, you receive 100% randomly generated, extremely complex, and unique mathematical puzzle layouts. The level counter in the top left corner (e.g., Level 45) increases infinitely, serving as an indicator of your survival, logic skills, and puzzle mastery.
PLAY ANYWHERE, ANYTIME
No Wi-Fi? No problem! Void Knot works completely offline. It is the ideal game to pass the time during daily bus or train commutes, or long airplane flights. Play wherever you are, with no internet connection required!
