WKB Teleprompter is an offline Android teleprompter for mirror rigs, direct-to-camera video, talks, courses, interviews, webinars, and studio shoots. You run it on an Android phone or tablet, load a script, set the reading speed, switch mirror mode on for teleprompter glass, and read from a clean full-screen stage.

A solo speaker can record without an operator. Put the phone in a compact rig, connect a Bluetooth HID presenter, and control start, pause, speed, and position while standing in front of the camera.

Multi-camera shoots can place one phone or tablet in each teleprompter rig. Each camera gets its own screen, and the devices join the same local Wi-Fi host session, so the rig screens share the script position and the text during angle changes.

Small production teams can split the work across devices. One Android device becomes the host in the teleprompter rig. Another Android phone or tablet joins on the same local Wi-Fi network as a trusted follower. The devices stay in sync during the session, so an operator can control prompting away from the camera while the speaker reads from the rig.

Larger crews can use the same host and follower workflow for interviews, corporate videos, conference talks, livestreams, training shoots, and studio days. The app fits a simple phone setup and scales to a professional teleprompter glass setup with a tablet, hardware remote, and a separate operator device.

Scripts stay local on the device. You can create, edit, rename, delete, and play scripts without sign-in. Import uses Android's file picker for TXT and DOCX files, including Google Drive and other document providers when they expose a readable file.

Playback includes mirror mode, normal reading mode, speed, font size, margins, brightness, orientation, and progress tracking. Bluetooth HID presenters, keyboards, mice, and compatible remotes can control playback for hands-free prompting.

What’s new

During brief Wi-Fi interruptions, Host and Follower keep the script moving locally. You see a reconnecting indicator until the network returns and both devices resync. This update also adds Android 16 support.
