Word Hunt is a word search that feels like the paper version, minus the pencil. Choose a theme -- Cities, Food, Nature or Animals -- and a grid of letters appears with the list of words to find beside it.

Finding a word is a single swipe from its first letter to its last, in any direction, and a neat colored line locks over it as it strikes off the list. That clean highlight is oddly satisfying, and it keeps the board readable even when a dozen words are already crossed out.

The pleasure of these puzzles is the shift that happens partway through: you stop reading letters and start seeing shapes, and the last few words -- the diagonal ones, the backwards ones -- suddenly jump out. Clearing the grid unlocks the next level, so a theme is a run rather than a one-off.

A statistics screen counts the words you've found overall, and settings change the grid size when you want more haystack around the needles.

Word Hunt is fully offline. No account, no purchases, no ads over the grid. Just letters, a swipe and the last word hiding in plain sight.
