Workday Alarm is an alarm clock built for the way Australia actually works.
Set an alarm once and it rings Monday to Friday — then stays quiet on the public
holidays that apply to your city. No more waking at 6am on the Queen's Birthday,
and no more remembering to switch your alarm off the night before.
HOLIDAYS THAT ARE RIGHT FOR YOUR CITY
Public holidays in Australia aren't one national list, and this app treats them
properly:
• National holidays like Christmas Day and Anzac Day
• State-wide holidays like Melbourne Cup Day
• City and regional holidays — the Geelong Cup applies in Geelong, not Melbourne
• Holidays moved to a different day in some states but not others, handled as the
date your state actually observes
Just pick your city and the right dates come down.
ALARMS
• Add as many alarms as you like
• Repeat: Weekdays (the default), Every day, Weekly, Custom days, or Once
• Skip public holidays — on by default for work-day alarms
• Or wake at a different time on holidays instead: keep the 6:30am alarm for work
days and set a relaxed 9:00am for the holiday
• Rings full screen over the lock screen and turns the screen on, like an alarm
clock should
• 11 built-in tones, vibration, and snooze
YOUR OWN HOLIDAYS
• Add days off your state doesn't know about — a company day, an RDO, or leave
• Ignore any holiday so your alarm rings on it after all
• See every upcoming holiday for your city at a glance
WORKS OFFLINE
Your city, alarms and holiday dates are stored on your phone. Once holidays are
synced, the app needs no connection to wake you up.
PRIVACY
• No ads
• No accounts or sign-up
• No analytics or tracking
• No location permission — you pick your city from a list
• Your alarms never leave your phone
The only thing sent to our servers is the name of the city you chose, so we can
look up its holidays.
NOTE ON RELIABILITY
Android needs the "Alarms & reminders" permission to ring at the exact minute —
please allow it when asked. After restarting your phone, open the app once so
your alarms are re-armed.
