About this app

In 1992, a small radio station called Energy L'amour started a broadcast on 99.65 FM to an audience of around 100 listeners in the area of Moss Side and Hulme.
As the broadcasts continued, the audiences grew and the Calibre of Djs broadened as the interest in this new station exploded.
By 1996 and now on 99.70 FM Love NRG was at its peak, broadcasting the best in rnb, reggae, dancehall, garage, house and soul music to over 20,000 listeners and hosting massive concerts including Mark Morrison, Dru Hill, Mary J Blige, Sylvia Tella and many more, also building platforms for some of the best Djs in the North West, and the U.K. Also serving and helping local businesses strive and giving the community an outlet of information and news which was at that time non existent.
Sadly, In 1998 the broadcast came to an end, with the arrival of the commonwealth games and a huge cleanup project by the Manchester council.
On Sunday 14th February 2016, Love NRG made its official return, and brought back those nineties memories, with a touch of 'the vibes' we would have missed during the 17 years off air. It continued to broadcast online throughout lockdown and beyond, still attracting an unbelievable number of listeners while continuing its close community bond.

We have been off air for 3 years but we are now into the final chapter of our story, bringing back once again the best era of music, mixing it with the present RnB, Hip Hop, dancehall and Afrobeats riddims.
Please support us as we bring back a service that will now be serving not just the community, small businesses, party goers and music lovers, but to a host of listeners all over the world, while helping to put Manchester's musical talent on the map and entertaining the way we know how.
