Deckhand helps elementary teachers, substitute teachers, and homeschool parents organize weekly classroom helper jobs in a friendly pocket chart format. The app focuses on four simple areas: Chart, Jobs, Add, and Find. In the Chart tab, assignments appear as handwritten paper slips tucked into colored fabric pockets, making the entire rotation easy to scan at a glance. The Jobs tab lists every saved job by week start date, with the most recent weeks shown first. The Add tab provides a clean paper-style form where you enter the job name, student name, week start, and optional notes. The Find tab lets you quickly search by job name or student name when you need to locate a specific assignment. Each job record can be created, opened, edited, and deleted as your classroom needs change. The dashboard keeps two helpful counts on the top rail: total jobs entered and jobs for the current week. A quick-add button on the dashboard takes you straight to the Add tab so you can place a new slip without extra steps. All job information is saved locally on your device, so your chart is ready whenever you open the app. There is no need to set up an account or rely on an internet connection to manage your helper rotation. The visual design uses large touch targets, handwritten-style lettering, and paper textures that feel familiar in a classroom. This makes it practical for daily use, whether you are planning the week ahead or a substitute needs a quick reference. Deckhand keeps the weekly job chart organized, readable, and easy to update from one place.
