Hönö health center is one of the first private health centers that was started in 1993. It was inaugurated by then Minister of Health Bo Königsmark, as one of the first private health centers in the then new general practitioner reform. Since then, the business has been conducted through a care agreement with the Swedish Health Care Board and since October 2009 has been a care center in VG Primärvård. Hönö care center is located in Gothenburg's northern archipelago in Öckerö municipality.
