NO BUILT-IN DATABASE
toldcalc ships with no aircraft and no airfield data. You enter your own figures, taken from your own flight manual, for your own aircraft. Nothing is invented, nothing is republished. Your last entry is remembered on the device, so a routine flight takes seconds to prepare.
WHAT IT COMPUTES
- Ground roll and distance to clear a 15 m / 50 ft obstacle
- Take-off and landing, independently: fill in one and get that one
- Pressure altitude, density altitude and ISA deviation
- Headwind, tailwind and crosswind components against the runway QFU
- Runway gradient correction, applied to the ground roll only
- Your own safety margin factor, and a clear verdict against the declared TODA or LDA
READS LIKE A COCKPIT
A runway diagram to scale showing the corrected distance, the margin marker and a red overrun if you run out of asphalt. A wind rose and an altimeter, drawn as real instruments. Metric or imperial throughout: metres or feet, degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit, hPa or inHg. Altitudes always in feet, wind always in knots, as pilots read them.
WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL
Everything is computed on the device. No account, no sign-in, no tracking, no advertising. The only network request is the METAR lookup, and only when you ask for it. Full performance calculation works in airplane mode, on the apron, with no coverage.

Enter an ICAO code and toldcalc fetches the current METAR worldwide, then copies wind, temperature and QNH into the form in one tap. Gust speed and a variable wind direction are shown but never auto-filled: those are your call.

IMPORTANT — READ BEFORE USE
This tool assists flight preparation. It does not replace the aircraft flight manual, and the pilot in command remains solely responsible for the conduct of the flight.
The correction model is a single generic multiplicative model applied to every aircraft, derived from one manufacturer's correction factors. It is an approximation, not a manufacturer chart.
The figures you enter are assumed to be referenced to sea level, 15 °C and no wind. If your manual's table is referenced to other conditions, this app will UNDERESTIMATE your distances. Check the reference conditions of your own table before trusting the result.
No grass factor is invented. If your runway is grass and your figures are not, enter your own grass penalty, otherwise the distances shown are optimistic.
