About this app

Roamr is a place-first social app. Instead of a feed sorted by who you follow, every post is pinned to the place it's about — a café, a viewpoint, a hidden beach, a whole neighbourhood — and you discover other people's posts by map and proximity, not by a follower count.

It turns the places worth going into a living, shared map made by real people — not ads, not an algorithm.

HOW IT WORKS
• Post a photo and pin it to the place it's about.
• Explore the map to see what's worth visiting near you — or anywhere in the world.
• Follow people whose taste you trust, or just browse the global map.

BUILT AROUND PLACES
• A place-first feed — posts lead with the location, not the profile.
• A living map — see where people have been and jump straight there.
• Nearby — discover posts around where you are right now.

PRIVACY, BY DEFAULT
• Location is coarse by default: a post tags the place it's about, not your live position, rounded to a neighbourhood unless you deliberately choose "Exact."
• Location metadata is stripped from your photos before they're uploaded.
• Public or private profiles, with approved-follower control on private accounts.

FOR EVERYWHERE
• Automatic caption translation, so a place's story reads in your language.
