About this app

XEMO is a speaking app that teaches you based on how you actually speak.

Most speaking courses give everyone the same lessons in the same order. XEMO starts from your own speech instead. You practise out loud, the app listens and rates how you did, and the mistakes that keep showing up decide what you learn next. Over time your learning path stops looking like anyone else’s.

How it works

Practise
Speak out loud in one of two ways. In an open debate, you choose a topic, state your stance and respond to an AI opponent’s challenges across several rounds. In a roleplay, you get a situation and another person’s spoken opening, such as a concern to answer, a position to defend or a disagreement to handle, and you respond as you would in real life. The AI opponent isn’t the point. It gives you something real to respond to, and it gives XEMO real speech to learn from.

Review
When a session ends, you get a rating. Then you go through it round by round. For each round you first see your own words, then an improved response that makes the same point more clearly. Seeing your version next to a better one shows you what to change.

Learn
Tap Train and you’ll find a learning path built from your rated sessions. The mistakes found in your speaking help decide which lessons come next, and some worked examples are built from your own words, so the lesson is about how you speak rather than a stranger’s example.

Every lesson follows the same structure:

An explanation of one speaking skill
Practical dos and don’ts
A weak response and a strong response, so you can see the difference
Multiple-choice exercises to check your understanding
Spoken practice, so you apply the skill out loud before the lesson ends

Progress
Completing lessons unlocks the next step on the path, and a new level is marked every nine nodes. If you get a lesson completely right on your first attempt, you can earn up to 5 XEL points.

Your dashboard shows your learning level, your XEL rating and your recent results. The leaderboard lets you compare XEL rankings with other learners, and History lets you go back to past debates and their feedback whenever you want to see how far you’ve come.

Daily reads
Each day brings a short read that introduces a new word or a logical fallacy. Small habits like this build your vocabulary and help you notice weak reasoning, in your own arguments and in other people’s.

Set up around you
When you first open the app, XEMO asks about your goals, your interests and how you like to practise, so your sessions and topics feel relevant from the start. You can change your preferences and manage your account in your profile settings at any time.
