Every photo your phone takes carries hidden data: exact GPS coordinates, the make and model of your phone, the second it was taken. Post it, message it, sell something with it — that data goes with it.

THE PART OTHER APPS MISS


If you have a Pixel or a Galaxy, your camera is probably shooting motion photos — the ones that move when you press and hold. That's not one file. It's a photo with a short video hidden inside it, and that video has its own copy of your location.


Every other metadata remover cleans the photo and leaves the video sitting in there. Some tools "fix" it by deleting the video entirely, so your photo stops moving and you lose what you shot.


Xfill cleans the video and keeps the photo moving. As far as we know, nothing else does.

Xfill makes no network requests. There is no server, no account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your photos cannot leave your device through this app because there is nowhere for them to go. Play's Data Safety section will tell you the same thing: no data collected, no data shared.


The app is open about its limits, too. Some formats can be read but not rewritten, and Xfill tells you so rather than reporting a clean it didn't do.
