LOÏD is an app connected to a physical NFC pad that helps everyone regain control of their attention and time.

By placing your phone on the LOÏD Pad, you voluntarily activate focus mode: the distracting apps you've selected are temporarily blocked.

When the session ends, a simple rescan of the pad unblocks your apps and reactivates your digital world.

LOÏD never takes control for you: every action comes from you, through a concrete and conscious gesture.

This simple ritual helps you cut out distractions and refocus your time on what truly matters: work, sports, creative pursuits, or moments with loved ones.

Transparency Regarding Android Permissions

For app and website blocking to actually work on Android, LOÏD uses two sensitive permissions. Here's exactly how we use them.

Accessibility Service

LOÏD uses the Android Accessibility Service only to detect which app is in the foreground. This is what allows LOÏD to display its blocking screen when you open an app that you've chosen to block during your Focus session.

- LOÏD never reads the content of your screens, notifications, messages, or passwords.

- LOÏD is NOT an app designed for people with disabilities. The Accessibility API is used exclusively for the app blocking functionality, which is the core of the product.

- You can disable this service at any time from your Android Settings.

VPN Service (Website Filtering)

LOÏD uses the Android VPN Service API to create a local VPN on your phone, which filters DNS requests to block websites you choose.

- Your traffic remains 100% local to your device.

- No data is sent to a LOÏD server or any third party.

- You can disable this VPN at any time from your Android Settings.

- No web browsing is logged or transmitted.

LOÏD falls under the "app usage tracker / digital wellbeing" category defined by Google Play policies for the use of VPN Service.
