Voice memos from your iPhone won't play on your Android phone?

An iPhone voice memo can be ALAC (Apple Lossless) inside, even though the file
ends in .m4a like any other. Android can't decode ALAC, so it just says the
format isn't supported. M4A Fix converts those files to AAC, which Android plays.


■ Only the codec changes

Everything except the codec matches the original.

· Same sample rate, channels, and length
· Same bitrate as the original — not forced to a fixed 128 kbps
· Title, recording date, and other metadata are carried over

Your original is never touched. A new file named "name_aac.m4a" is created
beside it.


■ Everything happens on your device

Your recordings never leave your phone. Converting and playing are done
entirely on the device, with no internet connection required. Nothing is
uploaded anywhere.


■ See what needs fixing at a glance

The app lists the m4a files on your device by folder, showing each file's codec,
length, and sample rate. ALAC files — the ones that need fixing — are selected
for you, so one tap is enough. Convert several at once, and long recordings keep
converting even when the screen turns off.


■ Listen before you convert

ALAC files that Android can't play elsewhere play fine inside this app.
Grab the progress bar and drag to move to any point.


■ Clean up without leaving the app

After converting, the original and the new file sit side by side and take up
twice the space. You can delete the originals you no longer need right in the
app. Deletion goes through Android's own confirmation dialog, so nothing
disappears by accident.

■ Good to know

· Files that are already AAC are left alone — there's nothing to fix.
· The app needs audio file access permission. It is used only to find the m4a
files to convert.
· There is one banner ad at the bottom of the screen. No full-screen ads that
interrupt what you're doing.
