About this app

Storage Cleaner is an honest storage advisor. It finds the apps you have not used in a while that are quietly holding cache space, shows you real Android-reported numbers, and hands the actual cleanup to Android system settings - where you stay in control.

WHAT IT DOES

- Scans your visible apps and checks when Android last recorded them being used
- Measures each dormant app's cache exactly as Android reports it, with a timestamp
- Adds it up into a clear, potentially reclaimable estimate - never a made-up number
- Opens the right Android settings screen so you can clear cache yourself
- Measures again afterwards and shows you what actually changed

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Honest numbers. Every figure carries its source, time, and coverage. When Android provides no usage evidence for an app, Storage Cleaner says "Unknown" instead of guessing - unknown is never counted as unused.

No deletion by the app. Android does not allow ordinary apps to clear another app's cache. Apps claiming otherwise use workarounds we consider unsafe. Storage Cleaner opens the official settings screen for the app you choose and verifies the result with a follow-up measurement.

100% on your device. Storage Cleaner has no INTERNET permission - the operating system itself prevents it from sending anything anywhere. No ads, no analytics, no account, no tracking. Scan history stays in a local database you can wipe at any time, and it is excluded from cloud backups.

Background-friendly. Scans continue when you leave the app and recover cleanly after restarts, with private, optional progress notifications.

Accessible and localized. Full TalkBack support, large-font layouts, English and Romanian.

PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY

- Usage Access (granted in system settings): reads last-used times and cache sizes for visible apps. Decline it and the app still works with reduced insight.
- Notifications (Android 13+): optional scan progress and results. Decline freely.

WHAT IT NEVER DOES

- Never deletes another app's data or cache itself
- Never uses accessibility services, root, or hidden APIs
- Never transmits data - there is nothing it could transmit with
