About this app

TEDS is a preparation for the PZSS (Polish Firearms Association) shooting license and firearms permit exams: a simulated exam under real-world conditions, with explanations after each answer, and review sessions that return to questions you get wrong.

Everything works offline. No account, no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases.

Two exam simulations

- Shooting license – 10 questions, 20 minutes, zone rule. Questions 1-4 are the critical zone, with no margin for error; at least 9 correct answers are required to pass.
- Firearms permit – 20 questions, 30 minutes, minimum 18 correct answers.

After completion, you receive a full breakdown of your score, not just a percentage: you can see exactly what happened in each zone and on which questions.

Learning instead of guessing

- Study mode – explanation and legal basis after each answer, with no time limit. - Revisions – these go back to questions you're getting wrong and spread them out over time.

- Quick Session – 5 or 10 questions without prompts along the way, to test your knowledge.

- Question Browser – the entire database for you to read at your leisure, along with explanations.

The Readiness Indicator shows how many of your recent attempts would actually have resulted in a pass based on the zone rule—not an average percentage, which can hide a single error in the critical zone.

The Knowledge Map breaks down your performance into categories: Weapons and Ammunition Act, shooting range safety, sport shooting regulations, criminal regulations regarding weapons, and weapon construction and operation.

ISSF Module

A comparison table of 14 events with equipment parameters, 42 flashcards with "I know/I don't know" grades integrated into the same revision mechanism, a quiz, and a cheat sheet with common parameters for the entire group.

Question Range

420 questions: 220 for the firearms license and 200 for the firearms permit. Each with an explanation and legal basis, making it clear not only which answer is correct, but also why.

Accessibility

Light and dark modes, high contrast, and adjustable font size beyond the system settings.

Privacy

The app does not have internet access—technically, it cannot connect to the network or send any data. All learning progress stays solely on your device.

The questions and explanations are based on the Act of May 21, 1999, on Weapons and Ammunition (Journal of Laws of 1999, No. 53, item 549, consolidated text: isap.sejm.gov.pl) and the Regulation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of July 28, 2023, on the examination for knowledge of firearms regulations (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1475, isap.sejm.gov.pl). The official set of examination questions for firearms permits is also published by the Police: mazowiecka.policja.gov.pl. The scope of the firearms permit is defined by the PZSS Patent Regulations (pzss.org.pl).

What TEDS is not

TEDS is a private study resource, not an official exam or legal advice. The application is not issued or authorized by the Polish Volunteer Sports Association (PZSS), the Police, or any other state administration body, and does not represent any government institution.
