Kvitlech - The Classic Israeli Card Game
Kvitlech is a beloved traditional Israeli card game, now on your phone.
Play against a smart dealer AI and try to get as close to 21 as possible
without going over. Simple to learn, hard to master.
HOW TO PLAY
You and the dealer are each dealt cards. Your goal is to reach a sum as
close to 21 as possible. Draw more cards or stop - the choice is yours.
If you go over 21, you bust. The dealer wins on a tie, so you need to
beat them, not just match them.
Place your bet before each draw, and manage your bank wisely. Run out of
money and the game is over.
THE SPECIAL CARDS
Card 12 is the wild card of Kvitlech. It can count as 9, 10, or 12 -
the app automatically picks the best value for your hand.
Frame cards (2 and 11) are the most powerful cards in the deck. Two
frame cards together is an instant win. Watch for them.
INSTANT WIN HANDS
Certain two-card combinations win immediately, before the dealer even plays:
- Two frame cards (2+2, 2+11, or 11+11)
- 12 and 12
- 12 and 11
- 12 and 9
- 10 and 11
ELVARUN - THE UNIQUE KVITLECH RULE
When your hand totals exactly 11 and the dealer offers you an 11 card,
you can invoke Elvarun - refuse the card and draw again instead. This is
the signature move of Kvitlech, passed down through generations of players.
THE DEALER AI
The dealer follows a classic Kvitlech strategy: always draws on low sums,
takes calculated risks in the middle range, and holds on strong hands.
The dealer also knows when to use Elvarun.
