About this app

SystemSyzer is an HVAC tool that helps with hydronic piping system design. It's based on the original plastic wheel calculator designed by Gil Carlson of Bell & Gossett, first introduced in 1963 and used by well over a hundred thousand engineers and tradespeople since.

The app brings several calculators together in one place:

• Friction loss and velocity through pipe based on your fluid conditions
• The relationship between fluid temperature, system flow, and heating/cooling load
• A Cv (flow coefficient) tool to assist with valve sizing in multiple ways
• The bundled Circuit Setter / Triple Duty Valve calculator, handy for balancing contractors: predetermine valve settings during design, and determine flow through valves from pressure-drop readings in the field
• Support for PEX pipe
