About this app

Get a step-by-step personalized lawn care plan and recommendations based on your specific soil and geographic location. “What to throw down, and when to throw it down” plus a fertilizer calculator, journal to track your progress, and soon to come: in-app lawn segmentation and measuring.

DIY Lawn Care Schedule
Get a step-by-step personalized lawn care plan and recommendations based on your specific soil and geographic location. “What to throw down, and when to throw it down” plus a fertilizer calculator, journal to track your progress, and soon to come: in-app lawn segmentation and measuring.

Soil Temps, Notifications and Next Steps
See and track your specific 24-hour average soil temperature. The majority of DIY lawn care strategies are based on soil temperature milestones and our app will display your 24-hour average soil temperature for your specific location.

Your custom lawn plan will automatically populate on your home screen to show your upcoming steps.

You also have the ability to set and see your upcoming reminders such as: time to sharpen your mower blades, take a progress picture or just about anything you can dream of.
Each user receives personalized application recommendations on “what to put down” and “when to put it down” based on their location, current conditions and previous applications. The applications suggested are custom to each user and dynamically adjust through the season.

Personalized Lawn Journal
You get a custom lawn journal where you can track your lawn tasks along with when and what products you applied. Whether you applied to your front yard, back yard, side yard or boulevard you can track each independently.

Within the Lawn Journal you can also upload photos to track the before and after progress and set reminders for yourself so you don’t miss upcoming tasks.

Application Recommendations
Each user receives personalized application recommendations on “what to put down” and “when to put it down” based on their location, current conditions and previous applications. The applications suggested are custom to each user and dynamically adjust through the season.

Last year the app was great. Started using it again this spring and I no longer like it or use it. The calendar function is now bad. I used to be able to open the calendar, go into list view and I could scroll through the days and see everything I did on any day. At first I thought that things I had done were somehow deleted. It turns out that I now need to open a folder under the day to see what I had done. Calendar view is worse to navigate through. Back to using Excel!

So far so good! I understand the app is in early beta. I like the digital journal as well as the average soil temp. However, deleting a journal entry is possible by swiping it to the left. But there is no indication that that is what you have to do. So some folks may not know that you have to do this as opposed to, say, a long press. Also, I get a database error message when I try to enter in notes in a journal entry that are 256 characters or longer. 255 characters saves just fine. It appears as if the notes field is set to a varchar(255). So I feel that the field should either be set to a "text()/mediumtext()" or the UI should cap the entry box to 255 characters so that the user cannot type more than that. (sorry, my software developer side is showing!)

Emanuel, thank you for being willing to be an early beta user and providing this very actionable feedback. We are actively working on making journal deletes more intuitive for user along with making the 255 character limit more clear in our next upcoming release.

So far so good with the app. Easy enough to navigate, and like the build in ability to measure the lawn via Pin Drops/Section it off. (Yes Master Hane, I still got out and walked and measured by hand. Only issue, got a couple soil tests for front and back yard, I don't see the option in the menu to register the sample as stated in the kit instructions. Either I'm blind, missed something, or the feature is not available currently. Hoping to have this fixed, but emailed results will be just fine.
