About this app

Tafsir Jalalain Complete Offline - Tafsir al-Jalalain (Arabic: تفسير الجلالين Tafsīr al-Jalālayn, literally: "tafsir of the two Jalal") is a famous book of commentaries on the Koran, which was originally compiled by Jalaluddin al-Mahalli in 1459, and then continued by his student Jalaluddin as-Suyuthi in 1505. This book of commentaries is generally considered a classic Sunni commentary which is widely used as a reference, because it is considered easy to understand and consists of only one volume.

Jalaludin al-Mahalli started writing the commentary from the beginning of surah Al-Kahf to the end of sura An-Naas, after which he interpreted surah Al-Fatihah until it was finished. Al-Mahalli then died before he could continue. Jalaluddin as-Suyuthi then continued, and started from surah Al-Baqarah to sura Al-Isra'. Then he put the interpretation of surah Al-Fatihah at the end of the sequence of interpretations of the previous Al-Mahalli. However, there are still differences of opinion regarding the level of work of each of these interpreters.
