Docket is a straightforward freelance client tracker that helps you log projects, monitor deadlines, and stay on top of every client commitment. The entire experience is designed around the familiar feel of a well-organized three-ring binder, giving your work a tidy, distraction-free home. From the Dashboard, you immediately see key numbers displayed like page flags: your total Active Projects, how many you've Completed This Month, and the Next Upcoming Deadline. A prominent New Project button sits right on the Dashboard so you can create an entry without digging through menus. The three most recently added projects also appear on the Dashboard, showing the client name, project title, and due date at a glance. Over in the Projects tab, you can scroll through your full list of projects, using the search bar to find a specific client or title and applying a filter to show only Active, Completed, or All projects. Every project card displays the client, title, deadline, and a colored status tab, making it easy to spot which work is underway, finished, or past due. Tapping a card lets you edit any detail or delete the project entirely, completing the simple create-read-update-delete workflow. The Add tab presents a clean, single-page form where you enter the client name, project title, pick a date from the deadline picker, and choose a status. Saving uses a clear staple action, while canceling or deleting triggers a paper-shredder animation, reinforcing the tactile binder metaphor without unnecessary clutter. The Deadlines tab transforms your due dates into a focused timeline grouped by week, so you only see the nearest deadlines by default, with an overdue count at the top. All your project data stays stored locally on your device, meaning your information is private, available offline, and never requires a cloud account. You can manually export your projects as a JSON file for personal backups and import it whenever you switch devices or need a safety copy. There are no subscriptions, hidden fees, or push notifications—just a dependable tool designed for freelancers, consultants, and creative pros who handle multiple ad-hoc gigs. Docket keeps your client work grounded and organized, so you spend less time tracking and more time delivering.
