YLF - Youth Leaders Foundation
Empowering the next generation of leaders in Egypt
The Youth Leaders Foundation (YLF), established in 2017, is a non-profit organization. The foundation believes in the leadership potential of young men and women and the importance of empowering them to achieve personal and social accomplishments. YLF's vision is to prepare young leaders in various fields to achieve real and sustainable development in Egypt. The mission is to find young leaders and develop their practical and theoretical abilities using modern assessment and development tools. In 2020, YLF was granted consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
YLF offers several programs, including:
Leaders League - Student Activities Program: Launched in 2019, this program is designed to empower students and is the first and largest of its kind. It supports 611 student activities, benefiting over 250,000 students in 48 universities and institutes across 21 governorates. The program has provided 1,671 training courses and 5,021 training hours.
Leadership Program: Launched in 2017, this program aims to provide students with comprehensive skill development through assessments, personal coaching, and team-building activities. From over 35,000 applicants, 165 future leaders were selected from 101 universities and institutes in 27 governorates. The program offered 7,500 training hours.
Climate Leaders Program: This program provides creative young people with the skills needed to develop climate solutions for their communities. It has had more than 30,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries and has offered 450 training hours.
Engineering Leaders Program: A program for engineering students to develop their skills and find solutions to real-world challenges. It has supported 103 teams and 904 students, providing monetary prizes to the winning teams.
She Leads - Universities: An upcoming program for the academic year 2024/2025 aimed at empowering young female entrepreneurs and freelancers at Egyptian universities.
She Leads - Technical Education: Launched in 2019, this program supports female students in technical schools by developing their skills and helping them turn their innovative ideas into profitable projects. It has supported 550 qualified students from 10 schools in 20 governorates.
Banān workshop: A workshop launched in 2023 to support female entrepreneurs, especially graduates of technical education, to ensure the sustainability of their projects. It includes three workshops for handicrafts, drawing, clothing manufacturing, and technology and programming.
SU Leaders: A new program for school student union members to develop their leadership potential and create meaningful connections between student union committees and relevant ministries.
