Update 4/21/22: App is getting better and easier to navigate. Bad UI and forced updates! Takes a lot of unnecessary steps to get where I need to go when I just want to start and monitor the smoker. And it also feels like that once every three times I start the app it forces me to update the app before I can actually start using it - I don't care if the version I have installed is two weeks old, I just want to quickly turn the smoker on and set the temperature. Why is it so difficult?

I have two (RT-1250 and RT-390), and as long as you keep your temperature probes inside clean and free of grease, they work beautifully. I really enjoy how I can set it and leave it. Does not matter if I'm preheating/cooking, the temperature adjustment is not needed. I've cooked in temperatures from 28 - 95 degrees and never had to worry about it going over/under my set point. Even when I have the lid open for an extended period of time. It goes back to the set point and stays within 5 degrees

I've never gotten the WiFi to work. Dual band and using 2.4 Gh with WiFi extender doesn't help either. I've got very high speed internet and small home so this shouldn't be an issue in relation to where the WiFi is from. Love the grill, but it NEVER connects. What's crazy is I have Thermo Pro probes that work just fine so I know it's the one with the grill that's not working correctly. Ran the test, did all the work I see online. I may call customer service to see if there's anything left.
