Blockability 3d is a 3D block puzzle. Pieces made of cubes fall into a well, away from you. Move them, turn them and drop them to fill whole layers. A full layer disappears and everything above it moves down one layer. The game ends when the well is full.
Each piece turns three ways. Spin turns it flat on the screen, Roll swings its left side toward you, and Tip swings its bottom edge toward you. A landing guide shows where the piece will settle.
There are three modes. In Classic you play until the well fills up; the pieces fall faster every 180 points and larger pieces appear more often. In Timed you have three minutes to place as many cubes as you can. Descent is the story mode: Chapter 1 takes you down through nine levels. Level 1 is included, and one in-app purchase unlocks Levels 2 to 9.
Every cube you place is one point. Your ten highest scores in each mode are kept on the device, and finished games are listed on daily and all-time score boards under a name the game generates. You can change the name or remove yourself from the boards at any time.
To move a piece, drag one finger on the well and use the on-screen buttons, or use two fingers: twist to spin, swipe to roll or tip, and double-tap to drop. A keyboard also works on tablets and Chromebooks.
Settings include colour-blind and high-contrast colours, reduced motion, and separate switches for music and sound effects. Playing does not require an account. The game works offline, and games finished offline are added to the boards when the device reconnects.
