This is the Young Minds App for children – designed to be installed on your child’s phone or tablet. It works hand-in-hand with the Parent App to help guide your child towards digital independence through learning, motivation, and trust.

Parents can now define essential apps (like Phone or Maps) that remain available at all times – even when other restrictions are active.

✔ Daily Device Usage Limits
Set a maximum total screen time per day to help your child balance device use and offline activities.

✔ Block Unknown Sites
Parents have the option to block uncategorised websites for added protection against unverified or potentially unsafe content.

To get started, create a free account:

1. Download the Young Minds - Parental Control App on your device.
2. Download the Young Minds Kids App on each child’s device you want to protect.

Note:
- The Young Minds App uses the Device Administrator permission. This helps prevent uninstallation of the app without the parent’s knowledge.
- The app also uses Accessibility Services to support children, including those with behavioural challenges. This enables appropriate access control and monitoring of screen time, web activity, and app usage – helping reduce risks and promote safe, balanced device use.
- The Young Minds Kids App includes an optional VpnService feature used to filter and monitor web activity on the child’s device. VpnService is required to enable website blocking and safe browsing as part of our parental control tools. All data routed through the VPN is encrypted and used solely to protect children online, in full compliance with Google Play policies.
