Private browsing shouldn't cost you 200 MB of storage. Aegis blocks ads, trackers and cookie pop-ups, asks for no account, keeps your bookmarks and history on your phone — and the whole thing is 10 MB.

Most ad-blocking browsers ask for a few hundred megabytes first. Aegis uses the web engine your phone already has instead of bundling a second one, which is why it stays fast on older, low-RAM phones and why everything below fits in a fraction of the space.

HOW AEGIS IS PAID FOR
A normal browsing session fires hundreds of tracking requests. Aegis blocks them, and shows a handful of ads of its own inside the browser interface — from one source that does not follow you between websites. That is what funds building and maintaining it. There is no subscription and no paid tier. A short rewarded ad switches the in-app ads off for an hour, or turns on stronger blocking for an hour.

Check the trade yourself: your ad diet shows how many requests Aegis blocked next to how many ads it showed you, today and all time — and you can share the numbers.

WHAT AEGIS IS NOT
Aegis is not a VPN and does not hide your IP address from the sites you visit. It blocks the requests advertisers and trackers make, which is a different job from anonymity. No browser alone can make you anonymous.
