About this app

In the Vaccination Study COVID (VASCO), the RIVM is investigating the effectiveness of the corona vaccines in the Dutch population. How well do the different types of vaccines protect against the coronavirus? How effective are the vaccines in the elderly, in the young and in people with an underlying disease?
The VASCO App is exclusively intended for people in the Netherlands who participate in the VASCO study. If you are interested in participating in the study, go to the VASCO website of the RIVM www.rivm.nl/VASCO. There you can enter your contact details to register.
It does not matter whether you have already been vaccinated, are yet to be vaccinated or if you do not want to be vaccinated. Anyone living in the Netherlands who is between 18 and 85 years old can participate in this study. Study participants will help learn more about how well the coronavirus vaccines work and what this will be like in the coming years.

The VASCO study lasts 5 years. In the first year, we ask participants to complete a digital questionnaire every month via this App or via a website. After the first year, we ask participants to complete a questionnaire every 3 months. The questionnaires include your health, corona measures, vaccinations and any corona infections. In addition, we ask participants to report in the App if they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or if you have tested positive for the corona virus.
