About this app

Morse reads Morse code by ear. Hold your phone to the radio's speaker and the app turns the beeping into text — and explains what it means. It also sends Morse, and teaches it from scratch.

📻 MORSE CODE DECODER BY EAR
A CW decoder that needs no cable: the app listens through the microphone, finds the sender's tone in the band and works out their speed on its own. Nothing to set up: one operator sends at twenty words per minute, the next at ten, and the receiver retunes between messages. The band spectrum and the signal envelope show at a glance whether the signal is arriving at all — so you never have to guess whether the radio or the phone is at fault.

🔍 IT UNDERSTANDS THE MESSAGE, NOT JUST COPIES IT
A radio message has a structure operators have used for a hundred years. The app breaks it into parts and labels them: the call, who to whom, the content, the sign-off. It recognises Q-codes, ham abbreviations, RST reports and prosigns, and from the callsign prefix it tells you which country the station is transmitting from.

📓 A LOGBOOK THAT KEEPS ITSELF
Received messages are saved without you pressing anything — five seconds after the sender falls silent. Each entry carries the date, time, signal strength, speed in WPM and the callsign with its country. The logbook is a plain text file, so you can open it with anything, years from now.

🔊 SENDING MORSE
Type your text and the app keys it out as tone. The "send like an operator" switch wraps it in a proper radiotelegraph procedure, with start and end prosigns.

🎓 LEARN MORSE CODE
• Straight-key practice in eight steps: dots, dashes, letters, digits, mixed rhythm, prosigns, your own callsign and a full radiotelegraph message
• Each step can run as five random characters or the whole set in order
• A table of the whole alphabet — letters, digits, punctuation and prosigns, every one playable
• A dictionary of Q-codes and ham abbreviations
• Country prefixes — recognise the country from the first characters of a callsign
• A glossary: WPM, envelope, SNR, Farnsworth timing

✨ MORE
• Works without internet — all the decoding happens on the phone
• The microphone is used live only; nothing is recorded or uploaded
• Portrait and landscape — lay the phone next to your rig
• 7 languages: English, Polish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese

For CW operators, radio amateurs, shortwave listeners, scouts and emergency volunteers. And for anyone who wants to learn the alphabet that still works when nothing else does.

Listen, read, send — dot and dash.
