STOPPING THE ALARM TAKES A TASK

When the alarm rings, a task appears. Arithmetic, a memory
sequence, a rotated shape to identify, a sentence to retype,
steps to walk, a shake, a jump, or getting yourself into a
lit room. The alarm keeps sounding until you finish it.

You never know which one is coming. Tasks are drawn at
random and recent ones are held back, so you cannot build a
routine around them.

THE PART THAT ACTUALLY WAKES YOU

Solving a task and going straight back to bed is easy. So
Rouse does something no ordinary alarm does: a while after
you dismiss the alarm, a second check may arrive - and you
are not told when, or whether it is coming at all.

That uncertainty is the point. There is no safe moment to
crawl back under the covers.

An alarm that fails once is worthless. Rouse uses the
system alarm clock scheduler, keeps working in battery
saver mode, survives a reboot, and walks you through the
device settings that silently kill alarm apps on Samsung,
Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO and vivo phones.

There is no snooze button. That is deliberate.
