ALKEMI lets you use email, instant messenger, text messaging, forum posts, blogs, even Twitter, even faxes to have encrypted conversations with others in clear text but keeps anyone without your key from being able to know what you said.
ALKEMI keeps private communications private. ALKEMI does not keep a history, does not contact the Internet, and there is no backdoor. ALKEMI is not Government-approved. Or, as far as I know, Government-disapproved. And ALKEMI is very easy to use.
ALKEMI works with any language you can type or paste, including Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, English, Japanese, Hebrew, Russian and many more. ALKEMI encrypts your data to an alphanumeric format called HEXASCII like this:
I love the fact Alkemi keeps my private communications private.
The Alkemized Text is just text and as such it can be communicated over any text-based medium like email, messaging, Facebook's Messenger, even WhatsApp, Telegram, PGP, Signal and many more. ALKEMI does not limit how to communicate. You can embed Alkemized messages within "normal" messages for added security.
You can tweet an Alkemized message (limit of 280 characters) but only those who know your key can decrypt your message.
ALKEMI is simple to use: Type or Paste your text into the Original Text box (limit 12000 chars). Select a key. Let your friends know your key. Click the ALKEMIZE button. Your Alkemized text is immediately copied to your clipboard so you can paste it into the communication program of your choice.
And the same in reverse. Paste the Alkemized text into the text box, input the key from your friend and click Dealkemize. The original message appears in the Original Text box and is also copied to the clipboard.
Alkemi is language-neutral. Any language which can be used on a computer can be used with Alkemi, for text or the key. Mix and match, if you want. Your message can be in Chinese and your key in Hindi or Japanese or Chinese or a combination of them. It doesn't matter.
ALKEMI is also available for Windows (see the web site).
How you share your key (including face to face) is up to you, the rest is up to Alkemi.
