About this app

Generator Tracker is built around what you do during a power cut: start the generator in one tap, keep an eye on it and never miss maintenance — for one backup unit at home, a job site or a rental fleet.

Start and stop from Home
• Running generators move to the top with a live timer and a big Stop button; idle ones sit below with Start
• Several generators can run at once; a bar at the bottom keeps the running ones a tap away
• Stopped by mistake? Undo brings the session back with its original start time
• Forgot to tap? Fix the start time or add a session later

Fuel left, estimated
• Add your tank size and see roughly how much fuel and how many hours are left
• Refills in a few taps: to full, same as last time or a stepper
• Refuelling a running engine is blocked — "Stop and refill" ends the session and fills in the refill time for you
• A full tank calibrates the estimate; consumption per hour is worked out for you
• Litres or US gallons — set by your region, switchable in Settings

Maintenance on time
• Oil, filters, spark plugs — intervals by engine hours, by days, or both
• Each task shows how much of the interval is used; overdue work is flagged on the home screen with ▲
• Mark a task as serviced with one tap

Clear analytics
• Run hours and fuel by month as bars split by generator colour — petrol and diesel are never summed together
• All-time totals and consumption per hour for every generator

Readable day and night
• Large, high-contrast controls that are easy to hit in the dark or with gloves
• Warm light theme and a true-black dark theme that saves battery during outages
• Theme follows the device or can be set in Settings, plus a guide to the system red filter for night vision
• Material 3 design and native navigation on Android phones, tablets and foldables

Private by design
• Everything is stored on your device first and works fully offline
• An account is optional (email or Google) and only syncs your own records between your devices
• Delete your account and cloud data any time in Settings
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking
• Open source (MIT) — anyone can check what the app does

What’s new

Litres or US gallons:
• Choose the fuel unit in Settings → Fuel units; in the US the app starts in gallons
• Tank size, refills, fuel left, consumption per hour and analytics all follow it
• Records you already have are converted on screen, nothing in them changes
