Preset drum machine (also programmable) for live playing with your preferred musical instrument.
Drummer friend plays the drums as a real drummer using different samples at different velocity and even different samples at the same velocity, simulating left and right hand.

Over 140 rhythms covering almost all styles, everyone user customizable and with intro, fill-in, variation and ending.
Bossanova and latin styles like samba, beguine, salsa, songo, lambada and merengue.
Jazz and swing, funk and fusion, groove and shuffle.
Traditional world styles like tango, cha cha, rumba, reggae.
Modern pop styles. Hip hop and dance.

Five multilayer extended drums kits: high dynamics, groove, ludwig vintage, dirty jazz, sonor force 3001.
Over 700 stereo high quality samples for realtime wavetable synthesis.
Uses multisample/multivelocity on most sounds, with audio effects: reverb, bass boost, 3D sound, equalization, expander/limiter and humanized playback.

Editor: to modify an existing rhythm select it from main app and simply touch the edit checkbox, then the rhythm editor will be started and show four tracks of events view with some controls in the upper part of screen.
Every quarter note is divided by 24 ticks, at 12th ticks we have an 1/8 note, at 6Th ticks a 1/16 note, at 3 ticks 1/32 note, at 2 1/32 triplet, at 1 tick 1/64 triplet.
You simply touch a + symbols or an existing sound and the app show you a dialog for add, modify or clear an event.

On the selection list in the main screen the user sequences are written in blue bold style.
User sequences are stored in /drummerfriendhd/"name".xml.
You can share your sequences with another user (that must have drummer friend ver 1.2 or above) sending this file as attachment with Gmail.
When the user receive and views this attachment from Gmail using drummer friend, sequences will be imported.

Footswitch support thru USB.
Need a device with USB HID support (keyboard/joystick); to check this you can connect an USB keyboard or a joystick with an USB OTG adapter cable and try to trigger events. If it works then also a generic HID USB footswitch should work.
Operations are:
first-clic start with Intro
1-click from Intro, switch to Play
1-click from Play to get Short fill + Change norm./var.
2 click from Play to get Long fill + Change norm./var.
3 click or long click then go to Ending
1-click from ending, then Stop

Wow!! Love this app!!! I wanted preset drum rhythms to practice piano with for all sorts of music, from Latin to boogie to rock. This is so easy to use and sounds so good! Big selection of preset drum rhythms and fills, plus multiple drum kits. I don't know yet if I can use it to create preset drum arrangements for a song, but even if that isn't supported, it's worth a whole lot more than 4 bucks.

Great app. I was looking for an alternative to Funk Drummer for iOs. This works great the samples are great too. Some beats are a it to busy for my use. Programming new beats is great but a little difficult at first. Having a grid like most sequencer would help a lot. Dont understand how to assign the short fill in button. Also, the fills start as soon as you tap the screen. It would be nice if you tap and it starts on the one of the next bar. Not complaining though this is great plus the price

Good but the beat is not synced with the beat counter, Horrible Waltz beat and the application has NO UPDATES since 2015 !!! 😳😳😳

sequences and midi file must be imported opening files as Gmail attachment or from a filemanager app and will be stored in Documents/drummerfriendhd and Documents/drummerfriendhd/midi
you could share or reimporting sequences by email sending it as attachment

for Android versions before 10 nothings changes and sequences are stored on sdcard/drummerfriendhd, midi file can be accessed navigating filesystem
