King IPTV Player is an IPTV player for Android that plays the M3U playlist or Xtream Codes login you already have. Live TV with a TV guide (EPG), films and series, in one ad-free player.

Please read this first: the app hosts and provides no content. It has no channels, no catalogue and nothing to watch until you add your own source, meaning an Xtream Codes login or an M3U / M3U8 link from a service you already pay for. If you don't have one, this app will do nothing for you.

What it does have is a player that gets out of the way.

BUILT FOR BIG PLAYLISTS
Providers hand you thousands of channels across hundreds of categories with long, awkward names. A scrolling strip of chips can't show those, so King IPTV Player uses a full category picker with channel counts, a filter field, and your recent categories at the top. Names are never cut short. Search finds a channel, film or series across the whole playlist.

LIVE TV WITH A TV GUIDE
Live channels show what's on now and next, from your provider's EPG (XMLTV). Mark favourites; each source keeps its own, and they survive if you remove a source and add it back.

FILMS AND SERIES (VOD)
Films with plot, cast, director and runtime. Series with seasons and episodes. Scrub, skip, and resume where you left off.

TWO DECODERS, SO MORE CHANNELS PLAY
Playback starts on ExoPlayer, the hardware decoder built into Android. When a stream defeats it (a codec the device can't decode, or a stream that opens and shows nothing), the app switches to libVLC automatically at the same position and tells you which decoder is running. HLS, MPEG-TS and the common IPTV formats are covered.

PLAYER CONTROLS
• Picture-in-picture, so you can keep watching while you use another app
• Choose subtitle and audio tracks
• Stream info panel: resolution, video and audio codecs, observed bitrate, buffer health and dropped frames, read from the player itself
• Clear error messages when a channel won't play, not a black screen

QUIET BY DESIGN
Dark, precise and legible. No banner ads, no interstitials, no "Pro" badge, no trial counter, no in-app purchases.

YOUR CREDENTIALS STAY YOURS
Your provider password is encrypted with a key held in the Android keystore. Your channel list is cached on the device, so opening the app doesn't re-download everything. Nothing is sent to us, because we don't run a server. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs.

Does King IPTV Player include channels?
No. It is a player only. You add a playlist from your own IPTV provider.

What playlist formats does it support?
Xtream Codes logins and M3U / M3U8 playlists, by link or by file.

Does it show a TV guide?
Yes. It reads your provider's EPG and shows what's on now and next for each live channel.

Is it free?
Yes. No ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

A channel won't play. Is it the app or my provider?
Open Stream info in the player. It shows what the server actually sent, which usually tells you whether the problem is the app, your network or the provider.

REQUIREMENTS
Android 7.0 or later, and an active subscription with an IPTV provider or your own M3U playlist.
