About this app

You don't need to search for separate apps to prepare for the YDS and YÖKDİL exams. YDS Forge brings together everything you need under one roof, from vocabulary learning and test-taking to grammar studies and progress tracking.

How does it work?

The app knows when to show you which words again. It will show you a newly learned word the next day, a week later, or a month later. It does this using the Scientific Spaced Repetition (SRS) method — not rote memorization, but lasting learning.

Learning Module

By flipping through the flashcards, you see the Turkish equivalent of the word, its synonyms, antonyms, and example sentences. You mark each card as "I don't know," "I struggled," or "I knew." The app decides when to show that word again accordingly.

Test Module

Multiple-choice questions, synonym finding, and fill-in-the-blanks. You can test yourself with questions similar to the YDS and YÖKDİL formats. Results are saved, allowing you to see your weaknesses.

Dictionary and OCR

Point your camera at text, and the app will automatically recognize the words. You don't need to open a separate app to scan words from books, newspapers, or screens. You can also add your own words and play mini-games with them.

Grammar

Frequently appearing grammar topics in YDS and YÖKDİL exams are categorized by topic. Each topic includes explanations and practice questions. You can mark your favorite topics and review them later.

Homepage

You can see how many days are left until the exam, how many words you studied today, and your study routine in recent weeks all on one screen. You can set daily goals and try to maintain your streak.

Leaderboard and Profile

You can compare your XP with other users. You can choose to keep your profile public or private. Your earned badges are displayed on your profile.

Widget Support

You can add three different widgets to your home screen: word of the day, study streak tracker, and exam countdown. You can use them as daily reminders without opening the app.

Technical Details

Works without an internet connection. The vocabulary database is stored on your device.
You can log in with a Google account, email, or anonymously.
You can synchronize your data across multiple devices (using your Google/email account).
It has dark mode support.
YDS Forge is a tool designed to make the YDS and YÖKDİL exam preparation process more systematic. There's no magic formula — but regular use makes a difference.
