About this app

ZChat is a messaging and calling app where everything you send is protected with end-to-end encryption: messages, photos, videos, voice notes, files, and voice and video calls, in both individual and group chats. Keys are generated and stored only on your device; neither ZChat nor anyone else can read your conversations.

No phone number required
When you sign up, ZChat assigns you a service number. You don't need to provide your phone number to use the app.

What you can do:
• Individual and group chats with photos, videos, voice notes, and files.

• Encrypted voice and video calls.

• Edit and delete messages, reply, and forward them.

• Delivery and read statuses, and last seen status.

• Verify the identity of your contacts with security codes.

• Block and report users from the chat or your contacts.

Your history, on your device: Your messages are stored in an encrypted local database. The servers only transmit encrypted messages until delivery and never have the keys to open them.

Privacy by design
We don't sell your data or display ads. With your permission, the app only reads your contacts on your device to show you who uses ZChat; your contacts are never uploaded to our servers. You can delete your account from the app at any time.
