About this game

Five words. One theme. Five hearts.

Hang Five is a daily word puzzle that plays like hangman — but with five words at once. A new puzzle every day at midnight: five words on screen together, all connected by a theme you have to work out for yourself.

Pick a letter and it reveals across all five words simultaneously. Work out the theme and you start guessing with intent instead of luck.

Every wrong letter costs a heart. Vowels cost one too, even correct ones, for as long as any consonant is still hidden — so you're always choosing between certainty and cost.

Solve all five before your hearts run out. The theme is confirmed at the end, along with your time. No clock ticking at you while you play.

This was great until the last upgrade and now won't open at all. Need to wind back that upgrade, team!

Great game, quick and still challenging. I wish I could play previous games (from before I installed the app) as only having one game per day is kind of 'not enough'. (Then I might forget to check each day, so if I miss a day I can't go back to do it). Is there a way to have a calendar so you can go back and do days you've missed? ☺️

Very, VERY addictive. I find I just CANNOT help play this game each day. A simple concept, but that's why it's so good - it's great in it's simplicity yet challenging at times in setting you up by having you think it's always easy to solve the words, and then WHAMMO! it gets you and you bece extremely annoyed at yourself for letting yourself get too nonchalant and wasting attempts. I like the app very much.
